I could get 7 killstreaks quite easily in Crysis 3 on PS3, here I struggle to get three without dying. This is the only game I found myself to be better at on PC, normally I suck at FPS games on PC. But on PC it's easier since the mouse isn't super speedy, instead the game has reverse mouse acceleration. Half the time when I try to block/parry, I'll end up doing a Defensive Offence on my PS3. But now I can get a higher score on PC, only because of how sensitive the controller's analog sticks are and me being used to having 360 camera control. Presing CTRL while also holding W and clicking LMB was so weird and unnatural, since I never had to stretch my fingers with a PS3 controller. The controls felt akward to me, since I used to play my PS3 more than my PC. And use the gamepad in games which actually require one such as the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. If you feel like I did that the game works better with keyboard and mouse don't fight against yourself. And I've played the MGR with keyboard and mouse, the Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 Sixaxis.Īnd that said, let me add that no matter which control scheme you use, pick the one that feels more natural in your hands. I'm writing this to underline the fact that it isn't an issue for me to switch to gamepad if the keyboard and mouse implementation is complete rubbish (like it is in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow). DOS, Windows and Linux being my primary gaming platforms. However I've been a keyboard and mouse player my whole life. I own Playstation 3 and I've played quite a bit of games with the controller since 2006. But the controls work, and they work better in experienced keyboard and mouse user's hands than in experienced gamepad user's hands. Yes, you need to adjust the controls quite a bit to make it feel good and even then it will feel little bit awkard due all the gamepad specific things inside the game. At least when I compare the experiences I got playing the game with gamepad. MGR:R has a decent keyboard and mouse support, it could be better, but so far I've personally gotten higher score with mouse and keyboard, since I'm faster and more precise when playing MGR with keyboard and mouse.
